Know where today's money actually is

Your staff photograph the transfer receipt — the amount, the time and the bank land in today's till by themselves. No more collecting receipts from group chats: you see how much has already reached you, and how much is still with your staff.

Cash box for the day at Spa Hoa Sen: 4,850,000 ₫ received, 2,930,000 ₫ with you, 1,920,000 ₫ with staff

Your shop took today

4,850,000 ₫

example — figures from a made-up shop

But where is that money right now?

With you — in your account and the cash you hold 2,930,000 ₫
With Ánh — collected, not handed over 1,250,000 ₫
With Hùng — collected, not handed over 490,000 ₫
Account not recognised — receipt read, the account is not one of yours 180,000 ₫

example

Not just a till. You always know whose hands the money is in.

The smallest payment of the evening — 192,000 ₫ (example). It is in the till too.

How it works

One receipt — and the till is done

Your customer pays by transfer exactly as they always do. The phone does the rest.

Real screenshots — the amounts on them are an example

01

Your employee raises the camera

The customer shows the transfer confirmation on their screen — your employee photographs it with their own phone. The customer installs nothing and waits for nothing.

02

The phone reads it

Amount, time, bank and the receiving account number are read inside the app itself. The photo stays on that phone and goes nowhere.

The app has read the receipt: 450,000 ₫, 17:10, into your account
03

Receipts from elsewhere and repeats get flagged

The account on the receipt is checked against yours. A receipt for a transfer that went to some other account cannot slip into the till quietly, and neither can the same receipt photographed twice.

04

You see which pocket the money sits in

One figure for the day splits into five parts: your account, the cash you hold, staff accounts, the cash your staff hold, and a separate line for «account not recognised».

Where the money is today: five places, the last line “account not recognised” 180,000 ₫
05

Money handed over — you tap it in

Your employee hands the money over, you tap it in — that amount leaves «not handed over». Only the owner can tap it, and part of the sum can be taken in.

Close the day

In the evening the day is closed and written into history. It cannot be edited afterwards — a mistake is corrected by a new line, and the old one stays.

Why you can trust it

We don't see your takings — and nobody else does either

We know why shop owners keep away from «smart tills»: nobody wants their revenue sitting inside a service they don't know. So Zô Cash is built so that there is nothing to look at.

The photo stays with you

The receipt is read inside the app. The image is never sent to us, under any circumstances.

Amounts are locked with a key

The key is born on your phone. On our side the amounts sit locked — we have nothing to open them with.

We never touch the money

Payments go straight to you. We ask for no access to your accounts, and there is nowhere in the app to type a banking password.

What if the receipt is someone else's, or photographed twice?

The app reads the receiving account number too, not only the amount, and checks it against your own accounts. A receipt for a transfer that went to a different account cannot slip into the till quietly — that line gets flagged. The same receipt photographed twice, including from two different phones, is flagged as well. And the main thing: nobody has to forward receipts into a group chat and match them by hand any more — the payment is already in the till, and the photo can be opened again at any moment.

The till cannot be edited after the fact

A wrong entry is corrected by a new line, and the old one stays. This lives in the database itself, and we cannot work around it either. That is what ends the evening argument about what was or wasn't paid in one minute.

Straight talk

What the app does today

We are new, and over-promising would hurt us first: you will check every word of this on your very first evening.

  • Reads receipts — any bank, plus MoMo, ZaloPay and ShopeePay
  • Cash counts exactly like a transfer
  • Five pockets: where the money is at this minute
  • Catches the same receipt photographed twice — including from two different phones
  • Every employee has their own receiving account
  • Reports by day, week, month and year
  • Works with no signal — payments send themselves once it's back
  • The till comes back on a new phone
  • A notification for every payment — coming soon. For now the till is ready the moment you open the app

«I already have the speaker box from my bank»

The speaker announces money arriving in your account, and that is genuinely useful. But it doesn't know who is holding the cash, it doesn't see a transfer that went to an employee's own card, and it won't notice the same receipt entered a second time. We don't replace the speaker. We answer a different question.

So what do you live on

Zô Cash is free — and it stays free

No trial, no «you'll pay later», no cap on the number of receipts. The till is the way into Zô: we want it sitting in the phone of as many shop owners as possible.

Our money comes from elsewhere — the paid modules of Zô (bookings, regulars, reviews) and solutions we build for one shop's own way of working. If you don't need those, you pay nothing at all.

Questions

The short answers that matter

What does it cost?

Nothing. Zô Cash is a free module of the Zô platform. Not a trial, and not «paid later».

Do I need to buy hardware?

No. No POS terminal, no speaker box, no card reader — it runs on the phones you and your staff already carry.

Will it work with my bank?

Any bank. We don't connect to your bank at all — we read the receipt your customer already shows you. Your customer pays the way they are used to. MoMo, ZaloPay and ShopeePay wallets are read too.

How is this different from Square or Toast?

Those systems assume the money arrives through a terminal they control. Here it arrives by QR transfer — into your account, into an employee's account, or in cash — and no terminal ever sees it. Zô Cash starts from the receipt instead: it reads what the customer already shows, and its job is to tell you where that money is now.

What if it reads the receipt wrong?

You type the amount by hand — one tap, big number keys. That payment is marked as typed by hand, and both you and your employee can see it. We don't promise perfect reading — we promise it's faster to fix than to hunt for the receipt in a group chat.

What if an employee simply doesn't photograph it?

Then by the evening they are the one holding an amount with nothing to show for it — and they see that before you do. A week is usually enough: photographing the receipt is quicker than remembering who paid for what.

How long does it take to start?

The owner installs the app and creates the shop — a few minutes. Staff join by scanning a QR code on your phone. Nobody needs retraining: they do exactly what they did before, only the receipt goes into the app instead of a group chat.

Can you see my revenue? Does the data go anywhere?

Amounts are locked with a key on your own phone and reach us already locked — we cannot open them, so there is nothing for us to pass on. What does sit in the open on our side is different: the shop name, your name and phone number, your staff's names and phone numbers, and the receiving account numbers — without those the app couldn't say «this receipt is yours». We don't hide that.

What happens to the till if I lose my phone?

The till comes back on a new phone: the payments sit with us locked, and your key opens them. For that, save the recovery code on the very first run — the app shows it exactly once and asks you to write it down.

Which phones does it run on?

iPhone and Android. The receipt reader runs inside the app and weighs 2.6 MB — it needs neither a powerful phone nor a connection to read a receipt.

Who are you?

A small team building Zô — a platform for small business in Vietnam. The till is the first module. The data is stored in Vietnam, in Ho Chi Minh City. If you have a question, write to us on Zalo — a real person answers.
